Back and better then ever!!!!!

Just got back from Re-Encounter which was esspecially and totally awesome. Except for a certain metal pole above my bunk which I swear had it in for me (No that is not irrational!) it was fun, informative and cool. I am now refreshed, revived, and relatively relaxed. I recomend this type of thing.
Oh yes, and soon I will be the almighty 19. Last year of the teens. Kind of wierd. Well, it's an excuse to eat cake so who am I to complain.
Finished reading the books (NOT the movies. The movies are way different) Bridget Jones's Diary and Bridget Jones's Diary The Edge of Reason. All I can say is that Helen Fielding is a freaking Genius! She really is. It is almost guaranteed to make you smile, chuckle, grin, guffaw-yes even laugh out loud. However, if you don't know how to read, don't know how to laugh or just don't like reading fiction-that-could-be-true, then all bets are off.(Note-there is mild swearing so if you don't like that then this book is not for you.)
Also, a request to my loyal comet patrons. Can you knit? Can you crochet? If you have answered yes to one of these questions will you please please please show me how? Please? I would really like to know. After all, when I'm old and grey I will need to be an expert at this. Because what sort of cynical, cranky elderly lady does not know how to knit/crochet. It's like a law.
So peace out and give blood if you can. (www.bloodservices.ca) It's for a good cause.
P.S. Oh and if you have any tips for aging gracefully, please share them. Getting old is not easy. *dramatic sigh*

Melissa -
speaking to you through this communicator device is a cynical, cranky, elderly lady and because I am ancient I will share my wisdom...
- never learn to knit - the needles are painful to sit on and the itchy wool sleeves they make are always 6" (sorry, that's OLD school - 15cm) too long.
- used to crochet when I was my daughter's age but found being crochety was much more to suitable to me.
- tried cross-stitch but now can't see where x marks the spot.
- reading the book is ALWAYS better than the movie - good for you! (But living the life is better than reading the book did you find your purpose yet? - yea yea nag nag - I AM a mom!)
- totally awesome is not a description that says anything... more please - was it the great balogna sandwich or what?
- blogging is as good as being a radio broadcaster, isn't it? it suits you, Melissa! Keep typing!
*s*
(And just so you... I never read blogs or comment on them, so your are special!)
