Happy Easter....Celebrate with Chocolate and take down the tree
First and Foremost...Happy Easter
Hmmm...Haven't posted for awhile.
Anyways finally got around to taking down the miniature Christmas tree I keep in my room. Thought it was beginning to look a bit tacky. However the two glittery snowflakes suspended on the ceiling are still there. Firstly I haven't the will or motavation to drag over a chair and climb up to take them down. Esspecially since they match up so well with the spring decor. Secondly, I do not trust the chairs in the house. They are as old as the hills and falling apart. Caution for those that visit my house. Do NOT sit on the chairs. I do not have insurance nor do I have anything of paticular value if you decided to sue me. One fat cat that eats everything. Thats it.
Birthday grows closer. Realize that I will probibly have to start acting my age. Shoot.
Question. What does your name say about you? Find out at http://www.go-quiz.com/acronym/acronym.php
I am (according to it)
M ild (HAH!!!)
E ccentric
L ucky
I mpulsive
S tubborn (NOT!)
S mart
A dventurous
And now for a quote.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is NOT for you
Thank you and good day. Peace

Back and better then ever!!!!!
Just got back from Re-Encounter which was esspecially and totally awesome. Except for a certain metal pole above my bunk which I swear had it in for me (No that is not irrational!) it was fun, informative and cool. I am now refreshed, revived, and relatively relaxed. I recomend this type of thing.
Oh yes, and soon I will be the almighty 19. Last year of the teens. Kind of wierd. Well, it's an excuse to eat cake so who am I to complain.
Finished reading the books (NOT the movies. The movies are way different) Bridget Jones's Diary and Bridget Jones's Diary The Edge of Reason. All I can say is that Helen Fielding is a freaking Genius! She really is. It is almost guaranteed to make you smile, chuckle, grin, guffaw-yes even laugh out loud. However, if you don't know how to read, don't know how to laugh or just don't like reading fiction-that-could-be-true, then all bets are off.(Note-there is mild swearing so if you don't like that then this book is not for you.)
Also, a request to my loyal comet patrons. Can you knit? Can you crochet? If you have answered yes to one of these questions will you please please please show me how? Please? I would really like to know. After all, when I'm old and grey I will need to be an expert at this. Because what sort of cynical, cranky elderly lady does not know how to knit/crochet. It's like a law.
So peace out and give blood if you can. (www.bloodservices.ca) It's for a good cause.
P.S. Oh and if you have any tips for aging gracefully, please share them. Getting old is not easy. *dramatic sigh*

Blah, blah, blah Posting Board is now open.Blah blah blah
So I haven't written for awhile and I was thinking what I should put. So I'm just kind of hanging out, drinking a coffee and listening to music. Have any of you out there heard of Switchfoot? They have this awesome song out. Its called 'Dare You to Move'. It is totally funky.
Now I would like to announce the official opening of the Posting Board in the cafe. It is the latest feature for all the writers and poets out there. So if you have anything to submit feel free to e-mail it to me and I'll post it.
Also I need new furnature. Should I get some overstuffed chairs, a throne or an elegant bench. Or maybe a windchime to hang in the doorway. Decisions, decisions. So many choices to make with my metiphorical cafe.
So peace out. Oh and by the way the word of the day is fugacious.
And now a final proverb:
A morning without coffee is like something without something else.

Grand Opening
First and foremost, welcome to the Comet Cafe. It has been christened that because the4re is, in my mind, no better place to build a cafe then on a comet. After all, its a quiet neighborhood, peaceful contrast between starry skies, interesting patrons and ever changing scenery. Not that it doesn't have its flip side (Searing heat, blinding lights, tendancy to crash into things) but what place is without its vices?
So anyway, several of you know me as Melissa L. Edge. I would like to thank Stephanie and Amanda for making this possible aka introducing me to the wonderful world of blog. And since I am such a drama queen, I couldn't wait to turn it into a funky place to chat and go on and on and on and so on.
With that out of the way I should probably say if you can think of any way to improve the cafe please feel free to suggest anything. (Furniture changes, etc.)
Thank you and Peace out. :)
